Deleting a Data Schema

Explains how to delete a data schema

This article explains how to delete a data schema or data schema version.

Prerequisite

Make sure that you've reviewed all associated datasets that use the schema you want to delete. It is important to do this because if a schema is deleted, all associated datasets will be deleted as well.

Deleting a Data Schema or Version

Open the Data Schemas page

Go to the page that lists your data schemas.

Find the schema or schema version

If needed, use the search fields at the top right.

• Use Search Name to search by schema name.

• Use Search Description to search by schema description.

Each schema appears with a row for each version. Find the version you want to delete.

Open the menu for the version

Select the three-dot menu on the right side of the version row, shown below.

Remove the schema version

Select Remove schema.

Repeat these steps for each version you want to remove. When you delete the last version, the data schema is fully deleted.

Remove From the Object Page

You can also remove a schema or schema version directly from the Data Schemas page by selecting Remove schema.
